Obviously someone at some time thought it would be a good idea to look into mezzanines and mezzanine systems, or you wouldn't be here right now.  Or perhaps you find the subject of mezzanines to be highly entertaining and you are here for some light reading.  Probably the former, right?

The first question you need to ask yourself is, " Do I need more square footage in my facility?".  If the answer is yes, then you could probably use a mezzanine system.  Here are a few more questions to ask yourself:

	Are we potentially building or moving to a different site within the next five years and need a temporary space solution?
	Are we leasing space and can't make any permanent changes? i.e. building expansion.
	Do we need more space but can't afford to relocate or shut down during an expansion project?
	Is our business ever-changing and we need a system that can be reconfigured several times?
	Would we like a system that we can depreciate like equipment instead of build-out?

The questions above are just a few examples of potential mezzanine applications.  Keep in mind, mezzanines are very versatile pieces of equipment.  There are literally thousands of different combinations for thousands of different applications, and unfortunately they all can't be listed here.
